Healthcare Program
Overview
The Healthcare Program of Lift Them Up Foundation (LITU) focuses on improving access to basic health services and education for vulnerable individuals living in Kikatiti, Makiba, and King’ori villages in Arusha, Tanzania. Many families in these communities do not have easy access to nearby healthcare services. Through this program, LITU works to support the health and well-being of more than 7,000 community members, including children and staff at the foundation’s center. The program aims to raise awareness, provide essential health education, and support individuals—especially youth and women—with the knowledge and resources they need to live healthier lives.
Menstrual Health Support
The program supports girls and young women by distributing menstrual hygiene materials such as:
Sanitary pads
Reusable pads
Menstrual cups
In addition, the program provides education on menstrual hygiene and proper use of these products, helping girls stay healthy and confident while continuing their education.
Family Planning and Sexual Education
The program provides education about family planning, reproductive health, and safe practices. Community members learn about different family planning methods and how they can make informed decisions about their health and future.
Reproductive Health Education in Schools
LITU organizes educational sessions in secondary schools to teach students about reproductive health, body awareness, and responsible decision-making. These sessions help young people understand important health topics in a safe and supportive environment.
Addressing Myths About Reproduction
In many communities, misinformation and myths about reproductive health can lead to harmful beliefs and practices. The program provides accurate information and open discussions to help young people and adults understand the facts about reproductive health.

Community Impact
Through the Healthcare Program, Lift Them Up Foundation aims to:
Improve health awareness within the community
Support women and girls with menstrual health education
